As soon as the concept of apps was introduced, sexy apps entered the arena. There are game apps and advice apps.

There are XXX-rated apps and R-rated apps. There are apps designed to be silly sexy and apps designed to be serious sexy. But, whatever you’re into, there’s bound to be sexy app that will help put a charge in your sex life.

Some of them are free, and those that do have a price tag generally cost less than $5, making it relatively easy to experiment with a few until you find one that suits you. I’ve gathered nine sexy apps so you can get a taste of what’s out there.

1. Body Heat by OhMiBodIt’s the very first app of its kind designed to remotely control vibrators, and it’s being released Jan. 6 at CES in Las Vegas. FoxNews.com is the first to get the scoop. You can turn your iPad, iPod, or iTouch into a remote for a variety of vibrators from OhMiBod. It lets users change the intensity and the pattern of the vibration. You just touch the screen to speed things up, slow things down or change things around. Toys that your partner controls, toys your music controls, and now toys that your mobile phone or “tablet” controls. Who would have thought!

2. Sexy Slang’s Naughty & Nice CharadesThink of it as charades for after the kids go to bed. It’s just like the charades you know and love, except sexy slang is what you’ll be acting out and you’ll be racing an opposing team to get the right answer. Think “Booty Call” and “Smoking Hot.” Meant to be played with at least two couples, it’s not your typical ice breaker. But you can be sure the ice will be completely melted after you play. Plus, even though it’s not for kids, there’s no X rating. But what it’s lacking in curse words and nudity it makes up for in sexual innuendo.

3. Adult Sex LifeThink of it as virtual sex ed -- for grown-ups. This app has descriptions of a variety of different positions, tips for reaching orgasm, info about self-play, foreplay and after-play, advice for how to please a woman, and even info about contraceptives and STDs. It also has what it calls “a private black book” so you can keep track of your sexual partners. It’s like an all-in-one guide on the go.

4. Cosmo’s Sex Position of the DayIf you’re looking to add new positions to your roundup, this app might be just what you need as we herald in this New Year. It includes positions like the Figure Eight and G-Spot Jiggy, designed to heighten female pleasure, as well as positions like Romp With a View, which is designed more with the man in mind. The app also features the Carnal Challenge Rating (“the more flames, the higher the difficulty”), step-by-step guide instructions, info on why you’ll love certain positions, and illustration so users will know what the position should look like.

5. BedometerThey call this the “sexercise” app. As the name implies, this app allows you to calculate how many calories you’ve burned from having sex. It has both single and “multiplayer” options, and the creators explain that it uses the iPhone’s “accelerometer to detect the intensity of your ‘workout’.” The Bedometer gives users a result that can even be posted on Facebook if you’re so inclined. Sure sounds a lot more fun than the treadmill at the gym . . .

6. Sexy TextsIf the written word is not your forte but you want to sext your partner, this app is designed to help. The app gives users hundreds of lines of erotic texts in a variety of categories from playful to romantic to sexy. All you do is cut and paste a line or series of lines and send it/them off to your partner. They say the “sexy” category is only for advanced sexters and advises users to work up to it. Hhhmmm… Would love to know when you qualify as experienced…

7. Sexy GameThis app is a lot like those naughty dice games. It gives you an action and a body part and then sets you loose on your partner (or partners, as it has a multiple players option). The game can be password protected. And the game plays can be randomized or alternated. Body parts are by gender but it also can be set for same sex play (by request, the game creator notes). You can also “lock” the spinner by actions, body part, or duration. In other words, it can create play as random – or not so random – as you like!

8. The SexulatorThe Sexulator allows you to track your sexual activity. The premise is that if you see your “stats,” you are more apt to want to improve them, causing you and your partner to get down to it more often. It teases a “sex status level” system that is based on your activity. But it won’t reveal the levels until you get there. It also allows you to rank your experiences. If you and your partner disagree about how much sex you do actually have, this app can put an end to those fights. And if you’re the kind of person who likes to compare notes, this app allows you to see how you and your friends stack up.

Hope all of you had a lovely holiday. Ours was a delightful time spent with family and friends. New Years Eve was quiet, which gave me time to reflect on those things in which I strongly believe.

One of the things I believe in with all my heart is the Golden Rule, which is the doctrine of treating others as one would like others to treat oneself. If we were all to follow that one simple rule, what a wonderful place the world would be. The Golden Rule is arguably the most essential basis for the modern concept of human rights, in which each individual has a right to just treatment, and a reciprocal responsibility to ensure justice for others. A key element of the Golden Rule is that a person attempting to live by this rule treats all people with consideration, not just members of his or her in-group.

With the above in mind, have a wonderful New Year. May all your hopes, dreams and wishes come true throughout the new years and always.

He grasped me firmly but gently just above my elbow and guided me into a room, his room. Then he quietly shut the door and we were alone. He approached me soundlessly, from behind, and spoke in a low, reassuring voice close to my ear. "Just relax."

Without warning, he reached down and I felt his strong, calloused hands start at my ankles, gently probing, and moving upward along my calves slowly but steadily. My breath caught in my throat. I knew I should be afraid, but somehow I didn't care. His touch was so experienced, so sure.

When his hands moved up onto my thighs, I gave a slight shudder, and partly closed my eyes. My pulse was pounding. I felt his knowing fingers caress my abdomen, my ribcage. And then, as he cupped my firm, full breasts in his hands, I inhaled sharply. Probing, searching, knowing what he wanted, he brought his hands to my shoulders, slid them down my tingling spine and into my panties. Although I knew nothing about this man, I felt oddly trusting and expectant.

All bets are off when she meets, Dante, the tall, dark, and handsome vampire who runs a sophisticated Manhattan nightclub for vamps only. Sparks fly at first glance, igniting the flames of passion that leaves them breathless and vulnerable to a militia of hunters dedicated to slaying every vampire on earth.

EXCERPT:

The faint aroma of expensive men’s cologne floated on the air. She sniffed more than once, trying to grasp more of the masculine scent. If Dante looked even half as good as he smelled, things were looking up.

While waiting, she examined the oil paintings hanging on the wood-paneled walls that appeared to be thick and possibly soundproof. In case of emergency, even if she screamed for help, in all probability, no one would hear her. She snooped, stopping occasionally to admire the magnificent, ancient artwork. She assumed Dante was most likely getting on in years himself. He could quite possibly be hundreds of years old.

A small interior door opened with a whisper, and a tall, startlingly handsome man entered. He wore a white shirt, black trousers and a black dinner jacket. His dark hair brushed the back of his collar. But the eyes had it. They were an amazing shade of royal blue and seemed to glow from within. He didn’t look a day over thirty.

It didn’t happen often, but she felt the kind of tingle in her nervous system that usually indicated something important was about to happen. Aside from looking and smelling fantastic, the guy oozed sex appeal from every pore of his amazing body. Her libido kicked into gear, and the crotch of her black lace panties grew uncomfortably warm. No, warm wasn’t the proper word. If there were a heat-seeking missile within a hundred mile radius, she’d be toast.

Although I really didn’t see much of an antagonist, Amy and Santa’s helper make a great couple. I like reading about a heroine who isn’t afraid to go after what she wants, especially when she’s not sure what she wants. The thrill-seeker element reeled me in.And the love scenes? Whoa! Who knew sex on a rooftop could be so darn steamy? The lust pooled from the pages of this story. Yep, you feel it like you’re really there.

If you want a fast-paced, short little story that’s guaranteed to singe the screen and get you hot under the collar, then you need to read Santa’s Coming. Whew! You’ll need a cold shower.

I give this story 4 cherries.

Jason is the fill-in bartender on the off nights in Chubb's Bar and Grill. He's closing for the night when minutes before he can lock the outer door, a final customer arrives.

He's not nearly as unhappy as the occasion suggests when the beautiful, late-night customer introduces herself as Venus, and invites him to play a game of eight ball with her--a special kind of eight ball…she calls it strip eight ball--get the picture?

The story is short, hot, and fun. The tag at the end just makes it more fun, but I can't tell you what it is, you'll just have to read Eight Ball and find out for yourself.

You won't regret buying this one, will probably read it more than once, and I'll bet you tell a few of your own friends about it. I am off to find another Cat Lovington story. This is a fun read--enjoy.

A Once in a Life Time Experience

My head is still reeling from our trip to Hollywood for the premiere of the movie, "Paper Heart." It's one of the most exciting experiences I've ever had. Actually, it was right up there on my thrill-0-meter with getting married and giving birth to my son.

How many times does one get invited to a Hollywood movie premiere and actually appear in the film? Well, so far it's only once for me, and it was more fun than I've had in a long time. I'm not sure why my husband and I got picked, but I'm really glad we did. Maybe it's because I'm a romance writer and the film is about a young woman's quest to find out if there is really such a thing as "true love." Or, maybe it's because my husband and I have been married for a very long time and not only continue to be in love, but even better, we still like each other.

At the premiere, we got to walk the red carpet, pose for pictures and sign autographs. To make matters even better, as if that's possible, we really enjoyed the movie. When the film crew came to our home in New Mexico to film our interview over a year ago, we had no idea what the movie was all about. Much to our delight, it turned out to be a very enjoyable and well done movie. It won an award at the Sundance Film Festival and got very positive reviews all the way around. Roger Ebert gave it a great review and three stars.

If you want to see a charming movie that will make you laugh and cry, go see "Paper Heart." It's in limited release right now, but will be shown in more theaters next week. It stars Charlyne Yi and Michael Cera and they were both wonderful.

This is a really short, very hot story. The author takes and innocent game of pool and turns it into something smoking hot. It should leave you in the mood. If you love short, erotic stories you will really like this one. I loved the twist at the end.

Hard to believe that June is over. This summer is going too fast. So many things I'd like to do, such as soothing after dinner dips in the pool. Unfortunately the monsoons are here, which means tthe clouds build up and threaten just about the time I'm ready to swim. So far this summer, the weather is really odd.
